Get a head start on the future.

At EBCAO, our Postgraduate Pathways Initiatives include PhD pipeline and career development cohort programs that give students opportunities to learn about, and gain experience in, various future pathways. Our fellowship and internship programs serve undergraduates at Princeton and other New Jersey colleges and universities, as well as Princeton alumni and alumni of all of EBCAO’s programs.

Postgraduate Pathways Summer Institute End-of-Summer Picnic

Students in the Aspiring Scholars and Professionals (ASAP) and Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) programs celebrated the end of the Postgraduate Pathways Summer Institute (PPSI) on Friday, August 5, 2022. The Institute brought together undergraduates from Atlantic Cape Community College, Bloomfield College, Princeton University, Rutgers–Camden, Rutgers–Newark, and The College of New Jersey. Mellon Fellows and ASAP Interns participated in a nine-week experience that included professional development programming, research methods workshops, career conversations, community-building activities, and a Summer Symposium at which students gave oral presentations of their work. The picnic marked the end of the PPSI’s very first residential summer at Princeton.

Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship

The fundamental objective of MMUF is to address, over time, the problem of underrepresentation in the academy at the level of college and university faculties. This goal can be achieved both by increasing the number of students from underrepresented minority groups (URM) who pursue PhDs and by supporting the pursuit of PhDs by students who may not come from traditional minority groups but have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to the goals of MMUF. The MMUF program is designed to encourage fellows to enter PhD programs that prepare students for professorial careers.
